Law and Motion Attorney
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Law and Motion Attorney to join our team remotely, with the option to work in-office if preferred. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil litigation and a passion for legal research and writing. This role focuses on drafting pleadings, motions, and conducting discovery to support our clients' legal needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and file legal documents including motions and pleadings
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda
- Manage case files and provide legal guidance to clients
- Engage in discovery processes, including written discovery and depositions
- Prepare for and attend pre-trial hearings and trials as needed
- Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to develop case strategies
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws and regulations relevant to practice area
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Active bar membership in CA in good standing
- Must have 5+ years of experience in civil litigation and law and motion practice
- Strong writing and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in legal research and case management software
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
This role is flexible to your schedule -- you have the option of Remote, or in-office/hybrid (at any of our CA locations)
